After leaving St. Jude in 2014, he founded Resonance, an informatics, consulting, and global health company with a mission to improve care and outcomes in low- and middle-income countries. Its software has been deployed in several countries and serves as a hospital database, business intelligence tool, and clinical trials management system. Scott is a professor and the Associate Dean for Research of the College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center with a mission to implement advanced practice nursing in low- and middle-income countries to improve oncology care and palliative care.

Scott’s work in pediatric cancer in resource-limited countries made him a natural fit for World Child Cancer, where he serves as Chairman of the Board and shares the vision that no child should suffer.
