Scott Smith, MA, is Co-Founder and Principal of Stonehill Consulting Group, LLC. He is an organizational development consultant with more than 50 years’ experience working with local and national nonprofits, and with national and international governments. Since 1996 Scott has specialized in providing emergency and transition management services to nonprofit organizations, serving as interim executive director or senior consultant to 26 nonprofit organizations in transition.
Scott is committed to the effective operations of nonprofit boards. He works with boards on governance issues, board roles and responsibilities, committee organization and operations, strategic planning, executive director searches, and Board/CEO relations. He regularly facilitates board and planning retreats.
Scott and his wife Freddi, a clinical social worker, live in the mountains above Boulder, Colorado. His principal hobbies are hiking and playing folk guitar.
Scott is fully committed to the mission of World Child Cancer USA and hopes that his professional experience of working with over 30 nonprofit boards during his career will help contribute to WCC developing a vibrant and effective Board of Trustees.
